PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor having excellent moisture resistance reliability.
SOLUTION : An inner layer ceramic layer 11 has, as a main component, a perovskite compound containing Ba and Ti. The inner layer ceramic layer 11 held by inner electrodes 12, 13 has an electrically active portion 28. Among the portion 28, a connection-vicinity portion 30 (32) between the inner electrode 12 (13) and an outer electrode 20 (22) is subjected to a mapping analysis by an energy dispersive method. When a total distance of a ceramic grain boundary detected from a TEM transmission image is defined as L1, a total distance of a grain boundary where rare earth elements detected from a mapping image and the TEM transmission image are present is defined as L2, and a total distance of a portion where two grain boundaries are overlapped with each other is defined as L3, one grain boundary being where the rare earth elements detected from the mapping image and the TEM transmission image are present and the other grain boundary being where elements other than Ba, Ca, Sr, Ti, Zr, O, Ni are present, the relational expression : ((L2-L3)/L1)×100≥50 is satisfied.
