PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing a rare-earth magnet of highly coercive force. SOLUTION : The method of manufacturing a rare-earth magnet has a sticking step for sticking a permeating material (Nd-Cu alloy) that can produce liquid phase onto a surface of a magnetic alloy containing a rare-earth element (R1) at a temperature lower than its eutectic point and a permeating step for heating after the sticking step to permeate and diffuse the permeating material into the grain boundary of the magnetic crystal grain of alloy. This will lead a rare-earth magnet to be obtained in which the crystal grain is encapsulated at least by a constituent element of the permeating material, thus enhancing the coercive force of the rare-earth magnet.
