Provided is a pneumatic tire which comprises a tread produced using a specific rubber composition and has greatly improved wear resistance, while maintaining good wet grip performance and durability. The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire which comprises a tread produced using a rubber composition that contains a specific oil-extended butadiene rubber, an isoprene-based diene rubber and/or a styrene butadiene rubber, a specific carbon black and stearic acid, respectively in predetermined amounts. The oil-extended butadiene rubber is a butadiene rubber synthesized using a rare earth element-based catalyst, and the amount of a process oil blended in this rubber composition is not more than a predetermined amount.
