This invention is a deoxidation method of the neodyminum metal by metal calcium vapor and apparatus for the same, which improves high performance R-Fe-B type rare-earth magnetic products by reducing dissolved oxygen amount of Nd metal ingot with purity of 99wt%, manufactured by chloride resolution method or metal heat resolution method. For the purification process of the lower rare-earth metal with lower purity (purity 97-99wt%, oxygen density, higher than 500wtppm) to high purity rare-earth metal (purity 99.9 wt% (over 3N), oxygen density, lower than 50 wtppm), the invention includes a tube electric furnace or cylindrical responding tube for deacidification. One of them should be fixed and the other one should be installed to move up and down. The above cylindrical response tube should be sealed to the supporting pole, installed at the lower part. The cylindrical response tube should be composed to easily bring in the deacidification container installed in the tube. For this invention, Nd metal ingot should be charged in the furnace located in the above deacidification container and a metal Ca chip should be charge in the carbonation reaction container.
