PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of rare metal recovery treatment, capable of efficiently recovering rare metals from objects to be treated by means of a mechanical method to perform efficient recycling.SOLUTION : In a treatment method for recovering rare metal parts in objects to be treated, positional information of an HDD 10 carried in is obtained, and then a rare earth magnet part 11 within the HDD 10 is identified by an identification sensor 30. The identified rare earth magnet part 11 is located at a position of a nonmagnetic blade punch 41 of a cutting machine 40, and then the rare earth magnet part 11 is cut off with the nonmagnetic blade punch 41. The cut rare earth magnet part 11 and other part are carried out separately to be treated.
