PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of manufacturing a magnet and the magnet capable of obtaining high remanent magnetic flux density without using dysprosium (Dy) and also without using bond.
SOLUTION : An R-Fe-N compound containing a rare earth element as R or magnetic powder of hard magnetic material molded by an Fe-N compound is used. In a state where magnetic powder 10 and lubricant 60 are put in metal molds 2, 3, a primary molding 100 is formed by pressurizing the magnetic powder 10 using the metal molds 2, 3 while being heated at a first temperature less than the decomposition temperature Te2 of the magnetic powder 10 and equal to or more than the melting point of the lubricant 60 (pressurization step, S2). Consequently, a secondary molding 200 is formed by heating the primary molding 100 at a second temperature Te1 less than the decomposition temperature Te2 of the magnetic powder 10 and then joining surfaces of adjacent magnetic powders 10 to each other (calcination step, S3).
