In conventional motors, a diffused magnet cannot be used in, e.g., large motors and other motors in which a large magnet is used, and as a result, it is not possible to obtain a sufficient demagnetization resistance in a large motor. This motor is provided with magnets (70) disposed on a rotor (14) so as to face a magnetic field generated from a coil fixed to a stator, the concentration distribution of heavy rare-earth elements in the magnets (70) being lower toward the center than toward the surface. Each of the magnets (70) is obtained by laminating two permanent magnets (71, 72), each having a thickness t of 3 mm or less, in a direction intersecting the magnetic field.
