This electrically conductive material has a pyrochlore structure achieved in a pyrochlore oxide having a rare-earth element and a transition metal element as constituent elements, and uses temperature change in electrical resistance. As the rare-earth element, at least one non-magnetic rare-earth element indicating a positive magnetoresistance effect, and at least one rare-earth element indicating magnetism indicating a negative magnetoresistance effect, are used as constituent elements, whereupon by adjusting types and composition ratios of the constituent elements so as to mutually cancel the positive and negative magnetoresistance effects thereof, variation in electrical resistance with respect to variation in magnetic fields is reduced.
