PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth phosphate powder that can provide a fluid dispersion in which, even when concentration is high, dispersibility is high, and even if being subjected to a long-term storage, formation of deposition hardly occurs, and stability is high.
SOLUTION : A rare earth phosphate powder is that a specific surface area measured by a nitrogen adsorption method is at least 10 m2/g and at most 200 m2/g, and a volume accumulation particle diameter D99.99 in 99.99 volume% of a cumulative volume by a laser diffraction/scattering particle size distribution measurement method is at least 1 μm and at most 100 μm. It is suitable that a value of the D99.99 after that supersonic is irradiated in a condition of 22.5 kHz, 30 W, and three minutes is at most 0.75 to a value of the D99.99 before supersonic irradiation.
