PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an inexpensive method for producing a high quality lithium manganese-based composite oxide, in which a process for removing an unreacted material and impurities is not required, a corrosive additive is not added, a specific solvent is not used, agitation is also not required, and an inexpensive autoclave can be used, and by which a crystallized material can be obtained without heat treatment or a heat treatment process at high temperature.
SOLUTION : A method for producing a fine powder of a lithium manganese-based composite oxide represented by general formula : Li 1+xMn2O4+δ (-0.2≤x≤0.2 and -0.5≤δ≤0.5) or by general formula : Li1+xMyMn2-yO4+δ (-0.2≤x≤0.2, 0.01≤y≤0.8, and -0.5≤δ≤0.5, M is one or more metal elements selected from iron, cobalt, nickel, and rare earth elements) includes a step for subjecting a raw material containing at least one of lithium salts such as lithium hydroxide, lithium carbonate and a lithium carboxylate and at least one of manganese dioxide, and an oxide, a hydroxide and an oxyhydroxide of an element occupying M site to a wet mixing and pulverizing treatment in an organic solvent, and preferably, a step for subjecting the slurry obtained in the previous step to a solvothermal treatment.
