PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a boron nitride sintered body having excellent corrosion resistance to molten metal containing rare earths. SOLUTION : In the boron nitride sintered body, the boron nitride content is 80.0 mass% or more. The boron nitride sintered body contains 0.3 mass% or more and 12.0 mass% or less of calcium in terms of calcium oxide, and 1.0 mass% or more and 18.0 mass% or less of yttrium in terms of yttrium oxide.
