PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To attain a shape and a structure, which enable suppression of re-scattering and energy saving brought about by lengthening of a cleaning period, in an electric dust collector. SOLUTION : In an electric dust collector, a leeward end position of a load electrode plate 2 of a dust collection part 1 is located on a leeward side with respect to a leeward end position of a grounding electrode plate 3. The electric dust collector structurally enables re-scattering dust to be captured with an electrostatic force by the load electrode plate 2 at or behind the leeward end of the grounding electrode plate 3, even when the dust accumulated at the leeward end of the grounding electrode plate 3 by a gradient force becomes excessive and re-scatters. Thus, the effect of enabling suppression of re-scattering and energy saving can be obtained. COPYRIGHT : (C)2014, JPO&INPIT
