PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a collection material capable of highly efficiently collecting and condensing radioactive cesium and strontium under reformed gas and burnt gas in a reforming furnace and a burning furnace for gasifying forest biomass contaminated by radioactive substances.
SOLUTION : The collection material holds a composite metal oxide consisting of titanium, zirconium, tantalum, molybdenum, tungsten, nickel, cobalt, iron and rare earth metals, such as lanthanum, yttrium, neodymium and cerium and these metal salts on a silica, an alumina and a carbon carrier and collects radioactive cesium and strontium, and the collection method collects cesium and strontium using the collection material.
