PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a ceramic capacitor which enables the realization of a high effective capacitance, a good DC biasing property, satisfactory high-temperature characteristics, and a high yield, and a production method thereof.
SOLUTION : In the ceramic capacitor, each dielectric layer comprises, as a primary component, a ceramic having a perovskite structure of AmBO3 (0.995≤m≤1.010) and containing Ba and Ti. The dielectric layer further comprises, to 100 mol of the ceramic, 2.0-5.0 mol of at least one rare earth element (Re) of Y, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho in terms of Re2O3/2, 1.0-3.0 mol of Mg in terms of MgO, 0.05-0.25 mol of V in terms of V2O5/2, 0.5-5.0 mol of Si in terms of SiO2, and 0.1-5.0 mol of at least one alkali-earth metal element M of Ba, Sr and Ca in terms of MCO3, provided that Si/V is 30 or less.
