PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth-iron based bond magnet which is reduced in not only remaining gaps, but also its thickness, and which enables the achievement of high dimensional accuracy.SOLUTION : A rare earth-iron based bond magnet comprises : rare earth-iron based magnet flakes; an unsaturated polyester resin; an organic peroxide; and silica. The silica takes the form of hydrophilic silica powder. It is preferable that the hydrophilic silica powder blended in the rare earth-iron based bond magnet is 0.1-0.4 wt.% to the total mass of the rare earth-iron based bond magnet. More preferably, 0.2-0.4 wt.% of the hydrophilic silica powder is blended therein. The hydrophilic silica powder has preferably an average particle size of 63 μm or less. The hydrophilic silica powder is preferably powder which has been classified according to the size by putting the powder through a sieve with an aperture of 63 μm.COPYRIGHT : (C)2015, JPO&INPIT
