The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for smelting a rare metal using multi-stage fluidized hydrogen reduction reaction. The purpose of the present invention is to provide an apparatus and method for smelting a rare metal using multi-stage fluidized hydrogen reduction reaction capable of smelting a rare metal by increasing reduction reaction ratio of rare metal through multi-stage fluidized hydrogen reduction reaction using hydrogen as a reduction agent to make the high purity metal. The method for smelting a rare metal using multi-stage fluidized hydrogen reduction reaction comprises : a first fluidized reduction furnace and a second fluidized reduction furnace connected with each other in a multi-stage and performing hydrogen reduction on a rear metal; a first cyclone and a second cyclone which collect and reuse a granule substance of exhaust gas discharged from the first and second fluidized reduction furnace and supply the exhaust gas remaining after reuse to a hydrogen separation and purification device and the first fluidized reduction furnace; a non-reaction hydrogen separation and purification device which finally removes a granule substance of exhaust gas discharged from the first cyclone and separates non-reaction hydrogen; a briquetting device forming the rare metal discharged and reduced from the second fluidized reduction furnace; and a melting furnace generating the high purity rare metal by melting the formed rare metal.
