A rare earth permanent magnet production process and device. The device consists of a gas compressor, a grinding chamber, and a separate filtration device; the gas outlet port of the compressor is in communication with a plurality of nozzles of the grinding chamber; the gas outlet port of the grinding chamber is connected by means of a conduit to the separate filtration device; and the gas outlet of the separate filtration device is, by means of the conduit, in communication with the gas inlet of the gas compressor. The production process steps comprise impact crushing by the grinding chamber, screening by a sorting wheel, separation by a cyclone, and filtering by a filter. The beneficial effect of the production process is that it changes the common structure of a jet mill, eliminating the ultra-fine powder outlet, such that all of the powder exits from the powder outlet and fine powder is obtained, thus simplifying the structure of the product and increasing material utilization; the structure of the sorting wheel inside the grinding chamber ensures that the volume fraction of fine powder having a diameter of less than 1 micron is less than 4%.
