PURPOSE : A depressant of dust scattering prevents the scattering of microdust in the air by a unit with silica sol-gel method applied. CONSTITUTION : A depressant of dust scattering is a composition including silicate. 2.5-20 wt% of silicate selected from potassium silicate, lithium silicate, and sodium silicate is included in water, based on SiO2. A surface-treating method using the depressant of dust scattering comprises a first spraying step spraying the depressant of dust scattering to a deconstruction site; and a second spraying step of additionally spraying one or more materials selected from acid, bicarbonate, glyoxal, ethylene glycol, and ethylene glycol diacetate and conducting a silica sol-gel reaction.
