PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a novel material which is an oxide material obtained by using an inexpensive raw material, and exhibiting good lithium ion conductivity capable of being used as a solid electrolyte of an all solid lithium ion secondary battery. SOLUTION : A lithium-containing crystalline aluminoborate represented by a compositional formula : Li2x (M11-0.5yM2y)1-xAl2B2O7 (where, M1 represents alkali earth metal, M2 represents alkali metal other than Li, x represents a numeric number in the range of 0.125-0.5, and y represents a numeric number in the range of 0-0.5) and having a two-dimensional layered skeleton structure is a novel material exhibiting lithium ion conductivity, and is useful for a solid electrolyte of an all solid lithium ion battery, as a material low in cost, small in an environmental load, and light in weight.
