PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method capable of easily and efficiently collecting metal components from a material containing highly useful metal components such as noble metal or rare metal.
SOLUTION : A method includes : a step for occluding a metal component in a compound oxide by heating a perovskite-type compound oxide and a material containing a metal component while contacting vapor of the metal or the metal oxide produced when being heated with the compound oxide, the perovskite-type compound oxide being shown by composition formula (1) : ABHaO3-b (in the formula, A consists of elements selected from the group consisting of lanthanoid elements and elements in group 2 of the periodic table, B consists of elements selected from the group consisting of elements in groups 3, 4, and 13 of the periodic table and transition metal elements in the fourth period of the periodic table, and a and b show values in ranges 0≤a≤1.0 and 0≤b≤0.5); and a step for collecting the metal component by heating the compound oxide occluding the metal component in the previous step to a temperature at which the amount of the occlusion of the metal component becomes lesser to emit vapor of the metal or the metal oxide, and by contacting the emitted metal vapor or metal oxide vapor with a substrate for collecting the metal component.
