The present invention relates to a functional pillow emitting anions and a method of producing the same. More specifically, the functional pillow comprises polypropylene glycol, methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, red mud pozzolan, and a rare earth material, and the method comprises : an ingredient mixing step in which polypropylene glycol, methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, red mud pozzolan, and a rare earth material are mixed together; a foaming agent adding step in which a foaming agent is added to the mixture mixed in the ingredient mixing step to expand the same; a foaming heating step in which the mixture in which foaming is initiated in the foaming agent adding step is introduced into a mold and heated; and a cooling drying step in which the expanded body expanded in the foaming heating step is cooled and dried. The functional pillow emitting anions produced by using the composition and the method described above emits a large quantity of far-infrared rays and anions, is capable of adjusting humidity, and has excellent antibacterial effects and deodorizing effects.
