A power factor correction circuit is disclosed. The power factor correction circuit according to the present invention comprises : a power supply unit for supplying power; a rectification unit including diodes to rectify power supplied from the power supply unit; and a boost power factor compensating unit for compensating power factor of the rectified power. The boost power factor compensating unit includes an inductor, a MOSFET, an electrolytic condenser, and a film condenser. The film condenser can be connected to the electrolytic condenser in parallel. The capacity of the condenser can be reduced and the lifetime can be extended by reducing ripple loads of the electrolytic condenser. Furthermore, inner impedance of the electrolytic condenser is increased at low temperatures and the problem which may be generated in cold start can be prevented as allowable current ripple is reduced.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
