PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing a sintered magnet, in which a used amount of rare metal is reduced. SOLUTION : Oxide, hydroxide, carbonate or nitrate of Fe, Mn and non-rare metal M is used as a raw material, and spinodal decomposition is used to obtain a sintered magnet having a structure where a fine square-columnar magnetic phase and a square-columnar non-magnetic phase are alternately arranged.
