The present invention relates to a dissolution method of tellurium (Te) which collects Te, a high price rare metal, by dissolving a material containing Bi2Te3. The dissolution method uses an aqueous solution containing oxalic acid and hydrogen peroxide and inserts the material containing Bi2Te3 into the aqueous solution after adding copper ions as a catalyst, instead of using a strong acidic aqueous solution including hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid. The dissolution method is capable of economically obtaining a Te dissolved solution in an environmentally friendly way.
