PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To combine a high density lamination and enhancement of reliability by suppressing particle growth when calcining dielectric particles composing a dielectric layer in a multilayer ceramic capacitor, thereby ensuring a grain boundary and setting a high value of permittivity per unit grain size. SOLUTION : A dielectric layer consists of a sintered compact containing a mol of ReO3/2, b mol of SiO2, c mol of MOx, d mol of ZrO2, and e mol of MgO for 100 mol of BaTiO3 (where, Re is a rare earth element, M is a metal element (excepting Ba, Ti, Re, Si, Zr, Mg), x is valence). The a, b, c, d, e indicating the mol number of respective components satisfy following relations in the multilayer ceramic capacitor, 0.1≤a≤1.0, 0.1≤b≤1.5, 0.1≤c≤0.4, 0≤d≤1.0, 0≤e≤0.03.
