PURPOSE : A casting magnesium alloy with excellent creep properties is provided to obtain excellent room-temperature strength and high-temperature strength at low manufacturing costs, thereby enabling to apply to parts which require high mechanical properties and thermal properties at a workable temperature of 150°C. CONSTITUTION : A heat resistant magnesium alloy comprises 6.0-8.5 weight% of Al, 1.3-1.7 weight% of Ca, 0.1-0.5 weight% of Mn, 2.0-2.5 weight% of rare-earth metal, 0.01-0.15 weight% of Sr, and the rest of magnesium and inevitable impurities. The rare-earth metal is misch metal(Mn). The heat resistant magnesium alloy additionally comprises at least one of 0.5 weight% or less of Sn and 0.3 weight% of Si.
