PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a superconducting coil device in which degradation in superconducting characteristics can be minimized, by improving the electrification characteristics of a superconducting coil located at an end.
SOLUTION : A superconducting coil device 10 is configured by stacking superconducting coils 12, 12a, formed by winding a tape-like superconducting wire rod 11 having a rare-earth-based oxide superconductor, in the axial direction y. Out of the superconducting coils 12, 12a thus stacked, the superconducting coils 12a located at both ends in the axial direction y are sloped to enlarge toward the end in the direction z1 of a magnetic field generated by electrifying the superconducting coils 12a. Extension direction of the superconducting coils 12a thus sloped is set at an inclination angle of 10-15° for the axial direction y of the superconducting coils 12a.
