PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a bearing component which can reduce rare metal elements contained in a material while securing excellent durability, and to provide a rolling bearing.SOLUTION : An outer race 11, an inner race 12 and a ball 13 which are bearing components, are formed of a quench-hardened steel containing 0.40-0.60 mass% C, 0.15-0.35 mass% Si, 0.10-1.10 mass% Mn, 0.0010-0.0100 mass% B and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities.
