PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a nickel-metal hydride secondary battery excellent in recoverability after long-term storage.SOLUTION : The nickel-metal hydride secondary battery includes a negative electrode containing a rare-earth-Mg-Ni hydrogen-storing alloy (A) and a rare-earth-Ni hydrogen-storing alloy (B). The percentage of the rare-earth-Mg-Ni hydrogen-storing alloy (A) is 30-70 mass% with respect to the total mass of the rare-earth-Mg-Ni hydrogen-storing alloy (A) and the rare-earth-Ni hydrogen-storing alloy (B) in the negative electrode.
