PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of producing a rare-earth magnet capable of producing a rare-earth magnet having a coersive force distribution by reducing the amount of a modified alloy used as much as possible, while satisfying the required coersive force performance which will be different for each site.SOLUTION : The method of producing a rare-earth magnet includes a first step for producing a molding S by pressure molding a powder that is a rare-earth magnet material, and a second step for producing a rare-earth magnet RE by bringing a modified alloy T for enhancing the coersive force into partial contact with the molding S and then diffusing and infiltrating the modified alloy T into the molding S by heat treatment. In the second step, a rare-earth magnet precursor C is produced by performing hot plasticity processing for imparting anisotropy to the molding S produced in the first step.
