PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To solve such a problem that, while magnetic characteristics of magnetic materials in the conventional arts are improved by an infiltration of rare earth elements in fluoride into a surface of a magnetic material, the rare earth elements are rare resources and a reduction of the used amount thereof is required.SOLUTION : A magnetic material (Re-Fe based material (where, Re represents a rare earth element including scandium and yttrium)) of the present invention has an ReFe phase in which a crystal lattice is expanded by the intrusion of fluorine, an Sn phase, and an SnFe alloy phase, and the content of tin is 0.01-50 atom%.
