PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an R-T-Zr-B based rare earth metal magnet having a high coercive force regardless of the size of a ground particle. SOLUTION : An R-T-Zr-B (R represents Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, and Eu, and T represents a transition metal element containing Fe and Co) rare earth metal magnet contains 29 to 37 mass% of R and 0.5 mass% or more and 2 mass% or less of Zr. The main phase crystal size of the rare earth metal magnet is 0.1 to 0.5 μm, Zr exists in the main phase crystal grain boundary and the ratio of Zr in a grain boundary phase with respect to the total of Zr amount in the main phase and Zr amount in the grain phase boundary is 60% or more.
