PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dielectric composition and a ceramic electronic component including the same. SOLUTION : This dielectric composition includes preform powder containing BamTIO3 (0.995≤m≤1.010), a first accessory component containing a 0.05-4.00 mol oxide or carbonate containing at least one rare earth element with respect to the 100 mol preform powder, a second accessory component containing a 0.05-0.70 mol oxide or carbonate containing at least one transition metal with respect to the 100 mol preform powder, a third accessory component containing 0.20-2.00 mol Si oxide with respect to the 100 mol preform powder, a fourth accessory component containing 0.02-1.00 mol Al oxide with respect to the 100 mol preform powder, and a fifth accessory component containing a 20-140% oxide containing at least either of Ba and Ca with respect to the third accessory component.
