PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode mixture for a sodium secondary battery requiring only a small amount of rare metal, and having a higher discharge capacity and suffering less deterioration in discharge capacity even in repeated cycles of charging and discharging than those of conventional batteries.
SOLUTION : The electrode mixture for a sodium secondary battery contains Sn as an electrode active material, and further contains one or more kinds of metals selected from the group consisting of Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, In, Pb, Sb, Bi, Ag, Au, Pt, Li, Na, Mg, Ca, Al, and Si.
