PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide far-infrared radiation ceramics not using a rare metal. SOLUTION : The far-infrared radiation ceramics are formed by mixing and firing following components in terms of weight ratio : 45.82 wt.% alumina (Al2O3), 15.2 wt.% silica (SiO2), 3.8 wt.% titania (TiO2), 1.2 wt.% ferric oxide (Fe2O3), 0.02 wt.% magnesium oxide (MgO), 0.2 wt.% calcium oxide (CaO), 0.23 wt.% sodium oxide (Na2O), 2.35 wt.% phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5), 20.5 wt.% zirconia (ZrO2), 3.45 wt.% lanthanum oxide (La2O3), and 7.23 wt.% water.
