PURPOSE : A fluoride phosphate glass is provided to suppress an excessive absorption of visible light as absorbing near infrared light by controlling mole ratio(F-/(O2- + F-)) of F-content compared to the content summation of O2- and F-, and mole ratio(O2-/P5+) of O2- content compared to the content of P5+.CONSTITUTION : A fluoride phosphate glass absorbs a near infrared light by containing Cu2+. From the fluoride phosphate glass, the mole ratio(O2-/P5+) of O2- content compared to P5+ content is over 3.2 and less than 3.4. From the fluoride phosphate glass, the mole ratio(F-/(O2- + F-)) of F- content compared to O2- and F- content summation is over 0.05 and less than 0.25. The fluoride phosphate glass may not comprise B3+, Pb, the ion and compound, TI, the ion and compound. From the fluoride phosphate glass, the ratio of rare-earth ion content to content of all cation elements is over 0.5 cation% and less than 2.0 cation%. The near infrared light absorbing filter uses the fluoride phosphate glass.[Reference numerals] (AA, HH) Optical density; (BB, II) Wavenumber; (CC, JJ) Experimental spectrum; (DD, KK) Loss due to surface reflection; (EE, LL) Visible light peak(large); (FF, MM) Infrared light peak(small); (GG, NN) Composite spectrumCOPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
