This rare-earth magnet material is obtained by hardening a plurality of magnetic particles, wherein each of the plurality of magnetic particles is provided with a core, and a shell covering the core. The core is composed of a compound containing Sm, Fe, Ga, and N, and is a single crystal which has a magnetic anisotropy and an average particle diameter of 2 μm or more. The shell is composed of a compound containing Sm, Fe, Ga, and N, and is an aggregate of polycrystals having an average crystal grain size of 700 nm or less. The degree of orientation of the rare-earth magnet material is 70% or more.
