Disclosed in the present invention is a method for separating rare earth from phosphorus ore, which belongs to the field of separating rare earth from the phosphorus ore containing rare earth. The method comprises : (1) mixing and reacting the phosphorus ore concentrate containing rare earth and a phosphoric acid solution; (2) filtering the same so as to obtain the reaction solution and the slag containing rare earth; (3) leaching the slag containing rare earth by acid-addition to obtain a leachate containing rare earth, and then recycling rare earth by one or more methods of an extraction process, an ion exchanging adsorption method, a precipitation process and a crystallization process, and (4) decalcifying the reaction solution obtained after filtering and then returning to step (1). The rare earth from phosphorus ore in the method of the present invention has a precipitation rate of less than 85%, a small slag efficiency, a high quality of rare earth in the slag, and a high leaching rate of rare earth in the slag; there is no additive in the process, and thus no effect on the quality of phosphoric acid products, and the phosphoric acid used in the process can be a phosphoric acid by self-production, and also can be the circulated dilute phosphoric acid and light phosphoric acid, etc., generated during production of the phosphoric acid ; this is tightly linked with the production process of phosphoric acid using sulphuric acid.
