PURPOSE : A method for preparing compound K and aglycon protopanaxadiol is provided to ensure stability at high temperature and to enhance reaction speed. CONSTITUTION : A method for improving ginsenoside compound K comprises a step of reacting beta-glycosidase with ginsenoside RD or ginseng extract in reaction solvent. The thermostable beta-glycosidase is derived from Pyrococcus furiosus at 70°C-95°C and pH 4.5- 6.5.
