PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To improve the hydrogen release action of a hydrogen storage alloy since, in the case when the conventional AB5 type rare earth-based alloy represented by LaNi5 or MmNi5 of a CaCu5 type crystal structure is used as the electrode of a nickel-hydrogen storage battery, discharge capacity when a discharge current is increased is easy to be reduced, and to improve rate properties of a secondary battery using the hydrogen storage alloy.
SOLUTION : The hydrogen storage alloy has a chemical composition represented by general formula R1vTixR2yR3z (wherein, 00, b>0, c>0, and a+b+c=1).
