PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a catalyst that can effectively produce an aziridine while maintaining performance even under such reaction conditions that water vapor is contained in reaction gas in particular regarding the catalyst for producing the aziridine. SOLUTION : The catalyst for producing the aziridine using a carrier obtained by compounding silica and zirconium is formed by preferably coating the carrier with a catalyst active component containing alkali metal and/or alkaline earth metal, at least one kind selected from a group consisting of rare-earth elements and Ti, V, Nb, Cr, Mo, W, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Ag, Zn, B, Al, Sn, Pb, As, Sb and Bi, and phosphorus.
