PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a developer carrier in which the magnetic pole of a magnet roller can be configured to have a high magnetic force, even when the magnet roller has a small diameter. ŽSOLUTION : The magnet roller 6 comprises a solid-core roller having magnetic anisotropy in one direction and a rare-earth magnet block 65 is arranged in the magnet roller 6. Further, the rare-earth magnet block 65 is arranged in a direction (direction of B) almost orthogonal to the magnetic anisotropic direction (direction of A) of the magnet roller 6.
