PURPOSE : An MRI contrast agent containing a compound is provided to lower cytotoxicity in vivo and to monitor various diseases and treatment process. CONSTITUTION : An MRI contrast compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, M1 is Re^+, Re(CO)_3^+, CpRe(CO)_3^+, Re^3+, or ReO^3+. A method for preparing the compound comprises : a step of adding rhenium ion compounds to a gadolinium complex of DTPA-bis-amide-histidine ligand of chemical formula 4 to prepare a mixture solution; a step of adding methanol, ethanol, or acetone to the mixture solution and precipitating; and a step of isolating and drying the precipitate. The rhenium ion compound is [Et_4N]_2[ReBr_3CO_3] or Re(metal). COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
