The present invention concerns a method for synthesising a polymer block which comprises a first block and a second block, which method comprises the reaction of a rare-earth metallocene and a living anionic polymer of a first monomer, followed by the polymerisation of a second monomer in the presence of the reaction product of step a), the first monomer being chosen from the group of monomers consisting of the 1, 3-dienes, aromatic α-monolefins and mixtures thereof, the second monomer being a monoolefin or a mixture of a monoolefin and a 1, 3-diene. The method enables the synthesis of polymer blocks with an original microstructure with a high yield.
