PURPOSE : A rare earth doped optical fiber is provided to attenuate PIQ(Pair-Induced Quenching) mechanism or HUC(Homogeneous Up Conversion) mechanism. CONSTITUTION : An optical fiber(1) includes a core(90) and an optical cladding(200). The corresponding core comprises a core matrix(100) including nano particles(110). The nano particles comprise a nano particle matrix(120) surrounded with an external layer. The nano particle matrix includes a doping element of a rare earth group. An element ratio of other nano particle matrix elements except oxygen to rare earth elements is 300 to 1000. COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
