PURPOSE : A perovskite catalyst with a sulfur oxide trapping layer is provided to trap sulfur oxide in a trapping layer before reacting with barium from a catalyst layer by separately forming a sulfur oxide trapping layer on the catalyst layer. CONSTITUTION : A perovskite catalyst with a sulfur oxide trapping layer includes a first layer and a second layer. The first layer includes catalyst carriers and perovskite. The second layer includes sulfur oxide absorbing materials. The catalyst carriers are based on one or a mixture selected from a group including alumina(Al_2O_3), ceria(CeO_2), titania(TiO_2), magnesia(MnO_2), silica(SiO_2), and zirconia(ZrO_2). The catalyst carries include 10 wt%% or less of one selected from La, Y, Hf, Mg, and rear earth elements including Pr, Nd, Eu, Gd, and Er. COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
