PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery showing excellent charge-discharge cycle characteristics under high temperatures and inhibiting battery swelling even when charged at high potentials. SOLUTION : The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery contains a positive electrode active material A comprising at least one kind selected from lithium cobaltate and lithium-nickel-cobalt-manganese complex oxide and having microparticles comprising at least one kind selected from hydroxides and oxyhydroxides of rare earth elements adhered to the particle surface, and a positive electrode active material B comprising at least one kind selected from lithium molybdate and lithium tungstate. The content of the positive electrode active material B is in the range of 0.01 to 2.0 mass% with respect to the positive electrode active material mixture. COPYRIGHT : (C)2012, JPO&INPIT
