PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high strength galvanized steel sheet which has excellent press workability, and a production method therefor. SOLUTION : The high strength galbanized steel sheet having excellent press workability has a composition containing 0.01 to 0.10% C, =0.0020% in total, and, if required, containing one or more kinds selected from <=0.5% Cr, <=0.5% Mo and <=0.1% V, and one or two kinds selected from 0.0005 to 0.01% Ca and 0.005 to 0.05% rare earth metals, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and has a metallic structure consisting of ferrite and martensite including retained austenite as the main phases. In its production method, the above steel is hot-rolled under prescribed conditions, pickled, if required, cold-rolled, heated, and cooled and galvanized under prescribed conditions, and, if required, subjected to alloying treatment.
