The purpose is to provide an optical amplifier device capable of amplifying a wavelength division multiplexed optical signal in a single process. The present invention comprises : an input unit (input port (11)) for inputting a wavelength division multiplexed optical signal; a laser light source (laser diode (20)) for generating multimode laser light; a double-clad optical fiber (amplifying optical fiber (12)) for amplifying and outputting an optical signal having a plurality of wavelengths contained in the wavelength division multiplexed optical signal by stimulated emission produced by the multimode laser light, the multimode laser light being inputted to a clad part, and the wavelength division multiplexed optical signal being inputted into a core part to which a rare earth element has been added; a gain equalizer (gain equalizer (22)) for flattening the gain characteristics of the wavelength division multiplexed optical signal after amplification by the double-clad optical fiber; and an output unit (output port (23)) for outputting the amplified wavelength division multiplexed optical signal.
