PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a furrower that makes it possible to easily switch between a tilling operation and a furrowing operation by making collapsible a furrowing element used for furrowing. SOLUTION : The furrower is provided at the rear of a rotary tiller K having a tilling unit R and is used for a furrowing operation as the earth tilled by the tilling unit R is pushed away by the furrowing element 7. A rectangular leveling plate 3 is swingably attached via hinges 6 to a rear end edge section 2a of a rotary cover 2 covering approximately an upper half of the tilling unit R. A collapsible fixing means for enabling the furrowing element 7 comprising a plurality of ridging plates to collapse via hinges 8 into an inner surface 3c of the leveling plate 3 in such a manner as to overlap, and for fixing each of the ridging plates to the leveling plate 3 in an overlapping manner, is provided on the inner surface 3c of the leveling plate 3. An upright fixing means by which the ridging plates each having a certain shape matching the shape of a ridge to be made can be fixed in a certain position while being roughly upright is provided on the inner surface 3c of the leveling plate. A supporting and fixing unit 5 capable of fixing the leveling plate 3 in an approximately horizontal state is provided between a resisting bar 4 and an outer surface 3d of the leveling plate.
